Can I have dermal filler treatments if I have had a COVID vaccine?
There has been recent news about people having reactions to dermal fillers after receiving a vaccine. Three trial participants out of 15,184 people who received at least one dose of Moderna’s mRNA-1273 vaccine experienced dermal filler-related reactions including facial swelling and nodules.
To minimise risks to clients, the Aesthetics Complications expert group has suggested:
1) Allowing a 2 week gap before your COVID vaccine and dermal fillers and having a vaccine will increase the safety
2) No Dermal fillers for 3 weeks after your COVID vaccine.
