1. “Lip fillers are horribly painful!”
Its true that there are lots of nerves in our lips and they can be a bit sensitive. Thats why we use a local anaesthetic (numbing) cream to make it more comfortable. The filler we use (Teoxane) also contains a lidocaine which is a numbing agent. This will make the procedure much more comfortable.
2.”Lip fillers give you a ‘trout pout’!”
This can be true but my favourite saying is, “The best injectable, is undetectable!”.
There are lots of techniques for filling lips, some create the eversion that can give the impression of the famous ‘trout pout’ that most of us don’t like. If you choose to stop having fillers then your lips will return to their original shape and size. Our lips lose volume and definition over time, however, this is a result of ageing and not a consequence of lip fillers.
