Radiofrequency and the under eye area

The under eye area can often be the first area of the face to show signs of ageing. The skin is thinner, more delicate and susceptible to structural changes. With mask wearing now compulsory in some locations there is more of a focus on the eye area.

There are lots of good treatments available for this area, tear trough dermal filler can help with volume loss and injectable skin boosters can be used in the superficial dermis. Botox or other neurotoxin is sometimes also used to help with fine lines. Radiofreqency is often forgotten!

Radiofrequency can be used safely around the eye as a stand alone treatment or with the addition of microneedling. It has minimal down time and very few potential side effects. It can be done on all skin types and the treatment can be performed throughout the year.

Radiofrequency treatments work by heating the skin's deeper layers to induce new collagen and elastin production and encourage cell turnover, helping skin become firmer, thicker and more youthful-looking skin. When you introduce microneedling to the process the RF energy is delivered deeper in the dermis, so it can produce faster results that are more dramatic. Using this technique can also correct scarring. The collagen that the procedure creates helps fade your scarring.
